We recommend visiting this location outside of the tourist season to avoid crowds. For the same reason, it’s preferable to go there on weekdays or in the morning.
You can find Georgia Aquarium directly opposite Centennial Olympic Park at the heart of Atlanta. The most optimal ways to reach the aquarium are by metro and bus.
The closest metro stations are Peachtree Center on the Gold and Red Lines and CNN Center Station on the Blue and Green Lines, respectively. The Five Points and Civic Center are the nearest bus stops to the aquarium. You can get to the museum from all these stops in 10 to 15 minutes.
The aquarium receives visitors every day throughout the year. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, you can visit the aquarium from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Its opening hours on Tuesdays are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, while on weekends you can go there from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
