The Prado Museum is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except on Sundays and holidays when it is open until 7:00 PM.

The museum is closed on January 1, May 1, and December 25. Opening hours are limited on January 6, December 24 and 31, and the museum is open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

You can enjoy quiet time at the Prado Museum and avoid crowds if you arrive right after the opening or after 3:00 PM.

If you plan to get to the museum by bus, there are four closest stops: Museo del Prado - Jardín Botánico, Alfonso XII - Jardín Botánico, Prado - Atocha, and Cibeles for Routes 001, 10, 14, 27, 34, 37, 45, and CO3.

Parking is available at the Plaza de las Cortes and Montalbán lots.

General admission to the Prado Museum is €15. Tickets cost €7.50 per person for seniors over 65, Youth cardholders, and large family members.

The museum guarantees free admission to people under 18, students aged 18-25, arts degree students over 25, people with disabilities (level 33% and higher), large families, unemployed people, teaching staff, official tour guides, Spanish state museums staff, and journalists.

FAMP, APME, ANABAD, AEM, ICOM, the Spanish Royal Academy of History, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, and the Royal Spanish Academy members can also enter the museum for free.

The museum offers Free Access Hours from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday to Sunday and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sundays and holidays. During this time, admission is free, but booking is required.
