Arriving early in the morning will help you to avoid crowds on the shuttles on Hermits Road. Mohave Point is also a great place to watch sunrise or sunset.

You can walk, bicycle, or take a free shuttle bus from the Grand Canyon Village from March through November from 4:00 AM. The last return bus leaves half an hour after sunset.
In winter, the road is open for private vehicles.

Mohave Point is accessible to everyone, and no booking is required. The only fee you need to pay is for admission to the Grand Canyon National Park. A vehicle permit costs $35, a motorcycle permit is $30, and individuals can enter the park for $20.
